SickKids Hospital: Employee Engagement & Interest

 

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids Hospital) has been providing internal mindfulness-based training initiatives to 7000+ employees since 2012 as part of an organizational transformation initiative led by the President of the hospital. Key challenges faced within the initiative was employee engagement within the training and inspiring general interest in those not yet interested in mindfulness. SickKids Hospital partnered with MGC in 2015 and 2016 to deliver company wide engagement events titled "Discovering Mindful Living", which focused on integrating mindfulness into the personal and professional lives of SickKids employees. The 2016 event and supportive training sessions drew over 832 attendees interacting with leading neuroscientists, monastics, psychologists and politicians. Feedback from the events showed an NPS score of 98% with participant feedback illustrating the event as "transformational", "highly relevant" and "community building".
